September 2024: Challenges and recommendations for the translation of biomarkers of aging

EUTOPS’ Chiara Herzog, PhD leads collaborators from the Biomarkers of Aging Consortium in publishing a third article together, this time in Nature Aging

Here, they deal with the fact that cinical translation of aging biomarkers reamins limited. They surveyed experts, identified six specific challenges to clinical translation, and make recommendations on how to overcome these.

Read an interview with Chiara about the article and her work on the Executive Committee of the Biomarkers of Aging Consortium here (German language).

This new publication follows two earlier publications in Cell in 2023 - proposing a framework for aging biomarker classification - and Nature Medicine earlier this year - proposing a framework for the future validation of aging biomarkers.
