Award for EUTOPS: Highest-Endowed Breast Cancer Research Funding Prize for Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Widschwendter

As part of a ceremonial event at the Academy of Sciences, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Widschwendter, Director of the EUTOPS Institute at the University of Innsbruck and Professor of Women’s Cancer at University College London, received the Austrian Cancer Aid’s highest-endowed breast cancer research funding prize, worth €115,000.

With this award, the Cancer Society honors the internationally pioneering research work of Prof. Widschwendter and his team, who focus on key questions in cancer prevention - in particular epigenetics, novel prevention strategies, and the assessment of individual cancer risk.
